A man caught with nearly 100 indecent images of children has received a suspended sentence.
Simon Limb, 46, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 3 for sentencing after previously admitting three counts of making indecent images of children.
Limb, whose address was given as Culmstock in Devon, was caught with two category A images, one category B image and 82 category C images on September 15 of last year at his then home address in Duntish, Dorset.
The offences relate to a period between May 1, 2016 and September 15, 2022.
Limb was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years, on the basis of the seriousness of the offence. He has also been made subject to a 10 year sexual harm prevention order which will see 19 conditions imposed upon him.
His use of electronic communication devices, USB sticks, hard drives, and internet-enabled devices will be restricted.
He must pay a victim surcharge of £149, costs of £84.94, and complete 60 rehabilitation activity requirement days. Limb must register as a sex offender for a period of 10 years.
