Delve into Tudor history with a study day at an historic home in Dorset.
Athelhampton House and Gardens are hosting the event at the house on Athelhampton Road near Dorchester on Saturday, June 1 from 9.30am to 5pm.
Visitors will learn more about the Tudor rebellions and the history of the period with talks from Nathen Amin, Melita Thomas, Dr Nicola Tallis and Juliet Braidwood.
The talks will be followed by a tour of the house. Refreshments of coffee and shortbread will be provided however visitors will need to make their own arrangements for lunch at the Coach House, or bring a picnic to enjoy the garden.
The Tudor rebellions are defined as the period between 1485 and 1603 which saw attempts to resist the authorities of monarchs.
