Lifeboat crew from Weymouth were called to assist a sinking boat.
At 11.31am today, Thursday May 8, volunteer crew from Weymouth Lifeboat station received a callout by the coastguard to help a vessel that was sinking.
It was reported at the south of Lulworth cove.
The crew arrived on scene at 11. 52 am and the boat and crew were escorted safely into Portland harbour.
A spokesperson for Weymouth Lifeboat station said: "On Thursday, May 8 2024, at 11.31am, volunteer crew assembled and launched following a coastguard request to assist a vessel taking on water.
"The vessel was reported south of Lulworth cove.
"Once on scene, at 11:52, and with the situation brought under control, the vessel and crew were safely escorted into Portland harbour.
"The volunteer crew returned to station and made ready."
