Police are looking to speak to witnesses after a person was "punched in the face" in an assault in Weymouth.
The victim was reportedly punched in the face, sustaining facial and bodily injuries, outside the Bee Cars taxi rank in St. Edmund Street.
The offender is described as a man of large build, five feet nine inches tall with short black hair.
The assault occurred between 1am and 4am on Sunday May 5 2024 outside the Bee Cars taxi rank in St. Edmund Street, however the police has today launched a witness appeal urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Andy Dickinson, of Weymouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and establish the full circumstances of how it happened.
“We know that it occurred during a busy time of the evening over a bank holiday weekend with many members of the public present, and we are keen for anyone who witnessed what happened who hasn’t already spoken to police to please come forward.”
