A YOUNG entrepreneur with a zest for marketing told of her delight after being nominated for a top award.

Bethany Ansell, 26, from Dorchester launched Lemon Squeezy Marketing in 2013 after completing her degree in Public Relations, and recently launched the website for the marketing firm.

She has also worked as a volunteer for the Dorchester-based Steve Charles Help a Friend Fund charity.

Miss Ansell was rewarded for her hard work by being shortlisted as a finalist at the Rock Recruitment Star of the Future Awards.

The ceremony was held at the O2 Arena in Bournemouth where Miss Ansell was presented with a certificate of commendation in the Future Star of Media award.

Miss Ansell said: “I was delighted to be a finalist for this prestigious award and I’m very grateful to everyone who nominated me.

“I started my own social media business last year out of a desire for independence and creative freedom and I believe that if you work hard and provide a service that helps people, success will follow.”

A total of eight nominations were submitted for Miss Ansell from clients and members of the community, some of who recognised her voluntary work for the Help a Friend charity.

She then had to submit a written application and attend a panel interview before being selected as a finalist. Miss Ansell added: “Lemon Squeezy Marketing is all about helping businesses to tell their stories in a way which enhances reputation, builds relationships and promotes customer loyalty.” Tom Lillington, director of group operations at Riskstop, who nominated Miss Ansell, said: “Over the last 12 months Bethany has assisted greatly in marketing a local charity that I am involved in and as a result the awareness of this charity locally has gone through the roof.

“The knock on effect has meant that we have raised so much more money this year and will be able to help so many more people. Thank you Lemon Squeezy for all your hard work.”
