TERRAS: Club offer proxy voting for EGM
THE board of Weymouth Foot-ball Club have given shareholders who cannot attend their Extraordinary General Meeting on May 24 the chance to use a proxy vote.
Those holding shares in the club will vote on whether they are for or against the club’s proposals with regards to the ongoing land situation at the EGM.
Club chairman Nigel Biddle-combe, pictured, said: “Wey-mouth Football Club regret that they are not able to provide any detail relating to the subject matter at the forthcoming EGM, due to legal reasons.
“However we would still like to invite those who cannot attend to submit a proxy vote and – mindful of the legalities – we have provided a shortlist of bullet points that can be divulged and will, we hope, assist in any decisions.”

It was previously feared the club would have no say on a potential move but ‘Weymouth FC’s destiny is once again in its own hands’, the board claims.
