WEYMOUTH and Dorchester's scheduled home fixtures for this afternoon have both been halted by the weather.
Weymouth chairman John Ryan confirmed to Echosport that the club’s first XI game against Poole at Redlands has been called off.
The Seasiders’ opening home fixture against Broadstone was also washed out two weeks ago, and the first XI will now hope to host Ferndown Wayfarers on June 7 to kick off their Dorset Premier One campaign at home.
Next up for Kieron Womble’s side is an away encounter with Stalbridge next Saturday.
Meanwhile, Dorchester's clash with Sherborne at Dorchester Rec has also been cancelled due to the rain.
Dan Belt's charges will travel to Broadstone Seconds in Premier Two next weekend.
