ULTIMATE Pro Wrestling was a hit on its return to the Corn Exchange in Dorchester, with five pulsating bouts on the bill.

The show featured some top up-and-coming entertainers as spectators were engrossed in the action, they were also treated to the shock return of grappler Leon Shah on the night.

He came to the aid of New Zealand’s Jay White when he was attacked by Warren Brady after their match, to set up a bonus main event.

Elsewhere on the card, UK Kid beat Nathan McKenzie in the opening contest.

“We really want to make it a regular thing and do it more often,” said promoter Mark Fry.

“From our point of view the fans really enjoyed it and we are going to continue with events in the future. The likelihood is that we will do them every three months.”

There was also controversy between local brawlers Marcus Graves and Charleston in a contest which the former stole a victory from his opponent.

As the referee was knocked down, Graves brought a steel chair into the ring and hit it on the ground.

And while the official’s back was still turned, Graves threw it to his opponent to frame him with the weapon.

The referee stepped to disqualify Charleston, leaving the feud to come to a head next time out.

“Our general manager announced that at the next show there will be a no disqualification match between Marcus Graves and Charleston to finish the rivalry once and for all,” Fry added.
