PORTLAND United Under-13s celebrated their Dorset League Division Three title-winning campaign with a special presentation.
The islanders won all 16 of their games during the season and scored more than 100 goals on their way to the championship, with Matthew Price and Jay Rodrigues bagging an astonishing 91 between them.
As well as being presented with the league cup and individual trophies, several players received specific awards for their efforts.
The Jacob Bailey man of the match award went to Lewis McNally, Jack Goode was named supporters’ player of the year and Connor Bradshaw was the most improved player.
Price scooped the players’ player of the year award and Jacob Bailey was the manager’s player of the year.
A club spokesman said: “The team continues to get stronger and is excited at the prospect of welcoming some new players next season.
“Thanks go to parents, grandparents and siblings who stand in all weathers supporting the youngsters every week.”
The team would also like to thank the manager, coaching staff and linesman, Dave Symes, Mark Frank-lin, Dale Woolley and Sam Rodrigues, who gave up their time and expertise to help the squad flourish.
