WEYMOUTH & Portland Rookie Lifeguards held their awards evening at the Osprey Leisure Centre.
The Rookies train on Saturday evenings at the leisure centre on Portland, teaching children from eight years old essential skills.
These include personal survival, life support, first aid, water safety and lifeguarding skills, and powerboat, canoeing and aquatic rescue.
Groups are split into bronze, silver and gold levels and adhere to the Royal Lifesaving Society’s official Rookie lifeguard programme.
On this occasion, the Rookie of the Year awards went to Rosie French and James Mould.
