JOHN ALEXANDER John Arthur Alexander, born in 1923, died at Bridport Community Hospital on the 4th August 2015. Much loved by his Wife Ivy Alexander, to whom he was married for 63 years, and his Children Peter, Clare and John. John was a veteran of World War II, an historian, a teacher, a rambler and a socialist. All who knew him are invited to attend his funeral, which will be held at Weymouth Crematorium on 24th August starting at 12.15pm. No flowers please. A collection will be taken for the renovation of a public footpath that passes John's house in Swyre. Cheques can be made payable to Ivy Alexander and sent to the Co-operative Funeralcare, 130 Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth, Dorset, Tel: 01305 772789 Dress optional but cheerful colour preferred.
