BIRTWISTLE HONORARY ALDERMAN JOHN HARRY John sadly passed away suddenly on 10 October 2016 in Portsmouth. The funeral service for John will take place at the Weymouth Crematorium on Friday 4 November at 2:30 pm. I remember John as a long-standing activist, who was tireless in his defence of members' interests. He was always prepared to do battle with the establishment, including that in his own union! My photo shows him doing just that at an Annual Conference
