Is it a year since I last saw you and felt  your hug and kiss?  
Is it a year since I last heard your voice? your love I truly miss.
I often think I see you and have to stand and stare
But he is another mother's son with dark brown curly hair.
The dark side of addiction is not easy to bear,
The one you know and always love changes beyond compare.
But now your battle's over and I'll keep my memories sweet,
I'll go through life with a broken heart until next time we meet.
