DEREK JOHN LUCKHURST ISM (LUCKY) Iris, Derek and Lesley would like to thank all who attended Derek's funeral and everyone for their floral tributes, cards and messages of sympathy. We would also like to thank David Rodgers and the Royal Naval Association for their wonderful send off, Jane Cotton for her invaluable help. The Rev. Ian Hobbs for conducting a moving service and to all who made donations to the RNA and Talking Newspapers. (A total of £550 has been raised so far). Our special thanks also go to the Doctors and nurses at the Bridges Surgery - especially the Intensive Care Unit at Dorchester Hospital who looked after Derek with such care and devotion during his last fortnight. MARY SQUIBB John and family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone who attended the thanksgiving service for Mary's life at the Lanehouse Rocks Methodist Church, for the many cards and letters of condolence and the generous donations to Diabetes UK in Mary's memory. Sincere thanks to Reverend Arthur Merritt for his kind words, to Ron Burke for playing for the service, and to all friends at the Church for their help and support. Many thanks to the Doctors and nurses of Barnes Ward at Dorset County Hospital for their care of Mary during her time there, to the Community Matron and District Nurses who cared for Mary at home, and to friends and neighbours for the many kindnesses shown during Mary's illness. JOHN HOLLAND Lost his courageous fight against cancer on Sunday 29th April, 2007, aged 62 years, at Portland Hospital.
