JAMES TRENT-HALL (Jim)  The family of the late Jim wish to express the sincere thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kindness and sympathy shown to them during their recent bereavement, also for the cards, letters of condolence, floral tributes received and donations to The Royal British Legion, Portland.  Thanks to doctors and staff at Dorset County Hospital for the care given to Jim. ALEC PALMER (Sonny Boy)  Dearly loved husband of Peggy and devoted father of David and Richard; dear brother and best friend of Vivien and Josephine, passed away peacefully at Dorset County Hospital, aged 76 years, on 28th December 2007, after a long and debilitating illness, bravely borne.  A Thanksgiving Service for Alec, who touched the lives of so many people, will take place at Lanehouse Methodist Church, Weymouth on Tuesday, 8th January at 11.30 am followed by private cremation. Alec's special wish was that no sombre or funeral clothing be worn. Simple family flowers from gardens or hedgerows only, but if wished, donations for 'Weymouth Salvation Army' may be sent to Cotton & Son, Milton House, 1 Milton Road, Weymouth DT4 0AZ.
