THOMAS HENRY BIRD "Tom Bird"  Passed peacefully away on Sunday 27th January, 2008, after a short illness, at Dorset County Hospital. "A peaceful end to a long and happy life." "Jesus I Come" Devoted husband to Vera for 65 years, loving father of Andrea, Hazel, Graham, Geoffrey, Colin and their husbands, wives and fiance; Andy, Mike, Jane and Lainey.  Much loved Grandfather of Wallace, Sharran, Michelle, Claire, Mariska, Sarah, Kate and Jo.  Also Great Grandfather of Shane, Jake, Maya, Ellie, William, Rosie, Chloe, Eden, Henry and Lily.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration for Tom's life will take place at the Methodist Church, Wyke Regis, on Monday 4th February at 12 noon, followed by Interment at Wyke Regis Cemetery and afterwards a gathering for refreshments at the Wyke Regis Methodist Church Hall, Portland Road, all are welcome. Family flowers only please, but if desired, donations can be made, in Tom's memory for the "House of Hope Bethlehem" (a charity for the mentally, blind and physically handicapped in Bethlehem), by cheque only, payable to Funeral Donations Account c/o Rose Funeral Service, 35 Shrubbery Lane, Wyke Regis, Weymouth, DT4 9LY.
