ROD SHIPLEY I would like to thank all my husband's friends and colleagues who attended his service and gave so generously to his chosen charity and for the participation of Rod's friends at his burial and for the very many messages of love and support received. I would like to thank the nurses at the Joseph Weld Hospice for their care during Rod's very short stay; I would especially like to thank Dr Richard Osborne, the nurses (Tracy and Ann), the doctor, (Constantine) in the Chemotherapy Unit at the Winterbourne Hospital who treated him over two years and who all showed him such care and kindness. And a thank you to all who attended Rod's ''bun fight'' in the idyllic setting of the Pennsylvania Castle for helping to make it exactly what Rod would have wanted. Thanks fo Carenza Hayhoe, Lay Minister who deputised for the Rev T Gomm at very short notice and to Jane at Cotton & Son for the funeral arrangements. Please accept this as my personal message of thanks.
