I'm looking for celebrationsPATRICIA GRIFFITHS
Published on 11/07/2014
PATRICIA GRIFFITHS Ann and Tony would like to thank the following people for their care of Patricia during her illness: Dr Jon Orrell and the nurses at The Royal Crescent Surgery, for their wonderful support and attention; the Lady Carers who helped look after Pat during her last years; the friends she made at the Acorns Day Centre and the happy days she spent there; local Police Force for their kind understanding when Pat required help as she so often did; to the management and staff at Asda where she was a daily visitor for so long, for giving her company both day and night, and keeping an eye on her safety, even taking her to her home to prevent her walking the streets alone; to the Officers and corps members of the Weymouth Salvation Army, who gave her love and a sense of belonging during the years she attended Sunday Worship at the Citadel; especially Mike, Olwyn and Emily. Thank you to Fiona Penny, for the magnificent display of cultivated and wild flowers, just perfect for a country born lady; to everyone who attended the Funeral Service at the Citadel and gave so generously for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Last but by no means least, to Margaret Sherratt of Cotton & Son, who arranged Pat’s funeral with such professional flair and efficiency, yet with warmth and kindness; thank you Margaret. Finally – the two handsome black horses who pulled the funeral carriage taking Pat on her last journey through the streets of Weymouth, the town where she grew up and lived all her life. Thank you William and Stanley! Thank you all.
