Business Magazine: the Echo's monthly supplement Funeral directors are named best in west

A DORCHESTER funeral directors has been named Golden Charter Funeral Planner of the Year for South West and Wales.
Grassby Funeral Service scooped the award for its dedication and commitment in providing an outstanding service to the community'.
Golden Charter is an independent funeral plan provider.
Dennis Mould, from Grassby Funeral Service, travelled to Wales to accept the silver salver and certificate from Golden Charter's MD Ronnie Wayte and director Ian Barnett. The Woodland Trust has also dedicated a stand of trees in Grassby's name at Henlade Wood, Henlade, Somerset, in recognition their achievement.
Grassby Funeral Service was judged as a regional winner from more than 1,400 other funeral businesses which exclusively offer Golden Charter funeral plans.
Mr Mould said: "I am absolutely delighted to receive this award.
"It's just like winning an Oscar. The award pays tribute to all the hard work put in - the dedication and professionalism of the staff."
Mr Wayte added: "This is the 15th year of the awards, and each year it becomes more difficult to choose a winner.
"Through these awards Golden Charter has been able to recognise personal excellence and professional commitment in one of the most difficult and challenging areas of serving the public.
"Dennis and his staff have set the standard for this and following years, and we are delighted to recognise his achievement."
