Chance to sail into academy open morning

THE Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy is holding an open morning for businesses on May 6 from 9.30am to 11am.

The business breakfast will be hosted by academy business manager Chris Knight, with complimentary coffee and pastries.

Mr Knight said: "This business breakfast will be the perfect opportunity for business along the south coast to learn about the corporate hospitality packages on offer here, both on and off the water.

"The world-class facilities of the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, coupled with the internationally respected boats and instruction from SailLaser, will create an unforgettable and unique experience for any company wishing to book a package."

Those attending the business breakfast will be given a guided tour of the academy and the SailLaser centre.

As well as the world class sailing boats, the academy is able to offer fully equipped conference and meeting rooms and a fully licensed restaurant and bar.

Matt Bridge, who is centre manager at SailLaser, added: "Corporate days at the sailing academy work extremely well because of the extensive facilities available both on the water and on land.

"We offer flexibility allowing you to use our unique resources to create a bespoke day that will meet the needs and desires of your particular group."

Work and Sail' packages start from just £95 per head and include use of the academy meeting rooms and facilities, lunch and refreshments throughout the day, and a sailing introduction taste of racing with RYA-trained SailLaser instructors.

Full day sailing packages to really get to grips with the sport are also available.
