GOADSBY Lettings Department has promoted three of its staff to associate directors.

They are Mark Sanderson, Lynne Burton and Denise Ray.

Lynne's new position will involve the overseeing of the Salisbury, Wareham, Wimborne and Weymouth lettings offices.

Mark is based at the company's Bournemouth office and will oversee the Bournemouth, Poole, Southbourne and Westbourne offices.

Denise Ray, who is based in Southampton, will be responsible for the company's eastern offices.

n LOYDS TSB Commercial has appointed David Beaumont as commercial area director for the west country.

He will manage over 60 relationship bankers out of offices in Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

n NEW staff have joined the workforce at Portland Spa Conference and Banqueting Centre on Portland. Lucy Vincent has been promoted to the role of front of house supervisor.

Lucy, who has extensive training and experience in the hospitality industry and has been with the spa since its launch in November 2007, said: "In my experience it is difficult to maintain high levels of customer service when under pressure and resources are stretched to the maximum.

"Here at the Portland Spa customer service is absolutely our top priority and we ensure that we have the correct number of staff and systems in place to guarantee that every customer enjoys a welcoming and positive experience."

Other new appointments include Sue Lloyd Conway as human resources manager, who has worked at New Look and as an independent consultant.

The business has also recruited a house porter and front of house supervisor, three spa receptionists and pool assistant.

Another 40 employees are expected to be recruited to work at its new four star hotel opening in the autumn.

n RECRUITMENT firm Smart has placed Joy Bruce in key positions four times in four years in its own offices.

Mrs Bruce, 24, has just become a branch manager for the firm after rising through the ranks from branch administrator to account co-ordinator and senior temps consultant.

Helen Stacey, who is a director of Smart Recruitment, said: "We are all delighted with Joy's progress through the ranks.

"It's fantastic to have been able to promote from within and reward Joy's dedication and hard work."
