The dedication, professionalism and overall hard work of a company's team will be recognised in the Dorset Business Awards.

The Team of the Year Award, sponsored by TeamJobs, will celebrate a team who have made a real contribution to the success of its business.

Winner of the 2016 Team of the Year Award, Seventa Events, proved to the judges that small teams can pack a big punch.

The team organise some of the most innovative events in Dorset.

Simon Brooks, managing director of Seventa Events, said: ‘‘This was an incredible award for Seventa Events to win. A great team is the backbone of any business. You can have the best product or service, but it can fail without a successful, strong, and determined team.

‘‘The Dorset Business Awards are attended by hundreds of businesses, and it is followed by thousands more. It is the highest achievement that a business can win in Dorset and the exposure and connections you make are invaluable.

"It's also an incredible motivator for the businesses and individuals that enter. Being shortlisted is a brilliant feeling, let alone winning. We really do make our clients ideas into reality and it's a fantastic feeling for that to be recognised.’’

Jason Gault, managing director of TeamJobs, added: ‘‘We are a firm believer that building a feel-good factor into a business is crucial for confidence and success within the company. Dorset is a remarkable hub of business and entrepreneurial talent, recognising this is very important. As a sponsor we have a responsibility to help bring momentum to this process and showing consistency in our approach to this category demonstrates our commitment to Dorset’s business community.

‘‘We feel that as a progressive business and past winner of the Company of the Year Award, we have a responsibility to share our experience and help other businesses get involved. This is a small way for TeamJobs to give something back, and after all it is businesses looking out for businesses and belief in our great county that is putting Dorset up there as a great place to do business.’’

The company should nominate and enter the award on behalf of the team.

In association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo, the awards are also backed by Wave 105 and are free to enter.

Anyone wishing to enter should visit dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk and has until Sunday, September 3.
