Are you thinking of entering the Dorset Business Awards?

If so, there’s still time to do so.

The deadline for this year’s awards has been extended to give busy businesses the chance to enter.

Organisers decided that due to a summer of bumper events like the World Cup and Wimbledon, as well as the heatwave with more people taking holidays, it makes sense to extend the deadline to Thursday, August 9.

Stuart Dixon, head of marketing communications at Dorset Chamber, added: “The number of businesses in the region hoping to win this year’s Dorset Business Awards has prompted the decision to extend the entry deadline.

“We want as many businesses as possible to throw their hat into the ring and have the chance to compete in Dorset’s premier business awards.”

The awards, in association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo, have 13 categories that recognise the achievements of businesses, individuals and teams.

Businesses of all sizes, which are based in Dorset or have a BH/DT postcode, can enter for free via www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk, regardless of whether they are a member of the Dorset Chamber.

The deadline will be at midnight on Thursday, August 9.
