2:00pm Monday 12th December 2011 in Christmas Appeal By Samantha Harman
A Dorchester superstore is reminding customers that every little helps when it comes to donating to the Echo Christmas Toy Appeal.
Tesco, in Weymouth Avenue, is appealing for customers to give generously, just like in previous years.
Tesco community champion Margaret Parkes said: “We always get a good response to the Toy Appeal and we hope this year will be no different.
“Tesco Dorchester has backed the appeal for a long time as it’s such a good cause.
“Our customers are always so generous when it comes to this appeal.”
Toy bins can be found in a number of locations across Dorset for donations of toys, games, books and arts and crafts.
The Dorset Echo on the Granby Industrial Estate and the Dorchester office in Antelope Walk are also accepting donations.
But there are only two more days to donate to the Toy Appeal and this year we want to help more children than ever before.
Margaret added: “It’s so important to give back to the community, especially at this time of year when there’s so much excitement around Christmas.”
