| FAST LOVE: Westover Nissan's High Performance Centre will sell the GT-R |
WESTOVER Nissan at Wallisdown has been appointed as one of just 10 dealerships nation-wide to become a Nissan High Performance Centre.
Highlight of the appointment is that Westover Nissan are official retailers of the brand new Nissan GT-R which went on sale in the UK in April - although first deliveries aren't due until March 2009.
Priced from £52,900 to £55,500, the GT-R is powered by a 480bhp twin turbo 3.8 litre V6 engine which allows it to get to 62 mph from a standing start in close to 3.5 seconds, while its potential top speed is 195 mph.
Technically it features a world-first rear transaxle with a dual-clutch, paddle shift six-speed transmission and full time four-wheel drive. Set-up switches in the centre panel allow gear shift characteristics, damper settings and stability control settings to be adjusted to suit the driver's mood and driving conditions.
All models come equipped, with eight-way adjustable front seats trimmed in leather and perforated Pearlsuede, dual zone automatic climate control, cruise control and a six speaker audio, RDS and MP3/WMA CD with playback capability, and HDD Music Box.
"Our appointment (as a High Performance Centre) is a real privilege," said dealer principal Mike Boyd. It means out customers can be assured of the very best standards of service, whether they are looking to buy the new GT-R supercar, or any of the other great cars in the Nissan range."
