  • THE Artemesia Gallery in West Street has a new exhibition of oils and watercolours of Venice.

Look for the topiary outside of the gallery.

Running until May 3 the exhibition of images by Richard Price and Sue Peake will transport you to a scene of canals and gondolas.

Richard, from Bournemouth painted many of his oils while stranded in Venice during the vocanic ash crisis.

He is an award-winning artist who paints in the traditional manner of Turner Sue, a local lady from Dorchester depicts Venice in watercolours.

Her distinctive paintings of gondolas really took my eye at the exhibition The Artemesia Gallery also sells lovely Murano glass and jewellery and does picture framing.

You can catch up with them and the new exhibition of pictures on their comprehensive website www.artemesiaonline.co.uk
