As part of Dorset Food Week you can taste apples at Muckleford!

If you go along to Muckleford on Sunday 24th October which is 'Apple Day' you can taste apples and honey to your heart's content.

There will be a longest peel competition and a best Dorset Apple Cake competition. Entry to the competitions is free and there will be prizes - entries close at 1.00 pm.

If you wish you can take your own apples for pressing, there are sessions at 11.30 and at 3.30 with a charge of £5 per family wishing to press but think of all that lovely juice you will take home! All instructions will be given.

So do celebrate Apple Day by going along to Muckleford village near Grimstone.

On Saturday October 23rd there is an open meeting in Bradford Peverell Village Hall to provide feedback for the Parish Plan.

There has been an excellent resonse to the detailed questionnaire sent out to villagers with over 60% returned.

The Open Meeting will be from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and a repeat session from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm on the above date.

The Parish Council is very keen to hear your views on the future of the village and it is hoped that as many of our householders within the parish as possible will attend.

Your views are needed and as a temptation refreshments will be provided!
