The provisional launch date of the Parish Plan is February 4th.

This was announced by Andrew Barker in his review of The Parish Plan at the recent meeting of Bradford Perevell Parish Council.

The draft plan had been circulated in December and was now almost finalised and the launch will be held in the Village Hall hopefully on Saturday February 4th.

High on the agenda of villagers' concerns as revealed in the original questionnaire is the issue of slow Broadband connection.

Andrew was pleased to announce that Dorset County Council have agreed to match the financial investment of the government department (BDUK) for the installation of high speed Broadband across the county. When this happens it will still leave about 10% of locations without high speed connection however both Andrew and Cllr David Ackerman are on the Forum to improve this situation.

Mrs Janet Collins then gave a review of the activities and finances of Stratton Youth Club which many Bradford Peverell children attend and it was unanimously decided to contribute £150 to the club for this year.

D Cllr Sarah East reported that rubbish arrangements could soon change as WDDC hope to sign up to the Recycling initiative and Waste partnership soon.

This means the use of new bins for food waste which would be collected weekly plus recycling boxes for paper glass tins plastic etc and a general waste bin and these would be collected fortnightly.

Cllr Neil Howard reported that all grit bins were topped up ready for any icy weather and that all gullies had been cleared. He was aware that the 'passing place' signs on the back road needed attention.

Various payments were authorised and the next meeting is on Thursday 1st march.
