(From left to right) Roma, Neil, Lesley and Conrad enjoying afternoon tea in aid of Cattistock First Responders
CATTISTOCK villagers recently turned out to support their local First Responder Volunteers (in partnership with South Western Ambulance Service) by attending a cream tea afternoon in the Savill Hall.
As well as being a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and a chance to meet up for a chat with friends, the event raised a substantial amount to help the Cattistock First Responders to carry out their duties.
Thanks go to all those who worked hard to produce and serve the teas, as well as those who turned up to lend their support.
THE CLOSING date for return of labels from the Children of Fiji Balloon Release has now arrived and the prize for owning the balloon that travelled the furthest is Roger Clark of Cattistock.
His balloon travelled approximately 605 miles and was picked up in Ebershausen in Bavaria, Germany, by 3 young children, Thomas, Felix and Lara.
Roger has won the prize of a hot air balloon ride for 2. The children also received prizes for finding and returning the balloon ticket.
FOR THOSE who enjoy Indian food, here is an event not to be missed!
The award-winning Viceroy Indian restaurant in Yeovil has offered to put on a 3-course charity meal in aid of Children of Fiji on the evening of Monday, November 21.
The cost is £15 per head and we are asking for a £5 deposit to be paid as soon as possible, so that we and the restaurant have a good idea of numbers expected.
We thoroughly recommend the restaurant and would love it if you and your friends could join us.
