CONGRATULATIONS to Eric Cox for winning the cup for his entries at the Cattistock Cottage Garden and Flower Show .
After many years without a flower show in the village, the event was well supported.
Afterwards many of the exhibits were auctioned and the proceeds were donated to the Dorchester Hospital Charity.
Thanks to Edwin, Liz and Scott for organising a very successful show, and for all their hard work behind the scenes – and, of course, to Simon for carrying out his role as auctioneer so well.
STRATTON and District Home and Garden Club welcome John and Wendy Hilton to their meeting on Thursday, September 1, when they will be talking about the charity Tools with a Mission.
THE NEXT Cream Tea afternoon in Frampton Village Hall is in aid of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and will take place from 3pm on Sunday, September 4.
There will also be a sales table for odds & ends.

MEXICO comes to Rampisham on Saturday, September 3!
Do come along to the village hall from 7pm for an exciting pub night with authentic Mexican food and exciting multi-nationality beverages served by the ever genial Rodgero!
The evening will hold far more than just tortilla chips and tequila!
THERE will be a Jumble Sale in Maiden Newton Village Hall on Saturday, September 3.
There will be refreshments and a raffle.
Please bring items for sale to the hall from 1pm. No electrical goods or large items, please.
FROME Valley History Society has no meeting in August. The September meeting features an outing to Chard Museum.

If you have not tried yoga before, please don’t worry, as it is all geared up to suit the individual’s own level. You are simply asked to bring along a cushion, mat and towel if you can.
The session will include a mixture of relaxation, stretching, breathing and healthy lifestyle options.
The October meeting will feature a talk by Kay Townsend on ‘Growing up in a Fairground’.
