Speaker Peter Down, a retired Consultant Physician, will take the audience through the history of medicine by sharing his knowledge of William Cuming.

FOOTBALL Club: The children attending Tuesday night training are doing very well, with a goodly number coming each week.

One or possibly two teams can be put together now to perhaps enter the league next season.

The kids playing for Cerne Abbas last year are doing well in their respective teams but sadly there aren’t enough players in Cerne to compete against them in an 11-a-side.

Coach Andy Ross hopes that will change though.

Keep looking in the bus shelter in the village for forthcoming fundraising events and don’t forget this year’s Boxing Day match!

This is always brilliant fun, open to all, more details will appear in this column nearer the time.

Girls are being particularly encouraged to come this year!
