Piddletrenthide PIDDLE Valley Players: The Piddle Valley Players proudly present Sandy Wilson‘s “The Boyfriend”.

This not-to-be-missed show will take place on Thursday, February 16, Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18 at 7pm with a 2pm Matinee on Saturday.

BUCKLAND NEWTON BODEN clothes - are you a fan?

A Boden Clothes Party will be held at Buckland Newton Primary School Hall on Saturday, February 18.

It starts at 10am and will last until 5pm, with the new Boden Spring Range primarily featured.

YOUTH Club: The brand-new village Youth Club has a packed programme for the year ahead!

Here is a brief overview for all of those who are considering joining or wishing their children to join: Club nights will be held on Tuesday, February 14, Sunday, February 26, Tuesday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 27.

There will be a Music Session on Tuesday, February 21, a Quiz and Film Night on Tuesday, March 6 and a club night featuring an arts session on Tuesday, April 3.

MEXICAN train: This shared game of 12 spot dominoes - which has several games going on at the same time - will visit the village again on Saturday, February 18.

This fun event starts at 7pm, it is something the whole family can join in, the evening will fly by!

For a small charge of £ 8 to cover expenses you will receive a simple supper with tea and coffee provided.

If you would like any other drinks, please bring your own.

PLANT Sale: The village plant sale has now been a feature of the annual events calendar for many years.

The organisers are looking for a co-ordinator to oversee the smooth running of this event.

The plant sale has raised thousands of pounds for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, therefore it is a role well worth considering!

CERNE ABBAS THEATRE Club: Please note that the planned outing on Thursday, February 16 has been cancelled.

The remainder of the spring programme includes “South Pacific” at the Octagon on Wednesday, March 14 and “Yes Prime Minister” at the Playhouse, Poole on Saturday, March 24.

This is the big screen version of John Le Carre’s espionage classic with Gary Oldman and Colin Firth.

GODMANSTONE BARN Dance: A Barn Dance will take place in the Village Hall on Friday, February 17, starting at 7:30pm.

Edward Gallia will lead the evening, everyone is welcome even if you haven’t ever been to a barn dance before!

Refreshments will be available in the form of a bar and a ploughman’s supper, all at a reasonable cost.
