At 8am on Friday, July 27, thousands of people will come together to ring in the first day of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The bells will be rung as loudly as possible for about three minutes – can you imagine this happening all over the United Kingdom?

Buckland Newton will certainly be a part of that so why don’t you join the village to ring your own bell?

VILLAGE Hall: This very versatile hall is well used during term time but still has some spaces for bookings during the summer!

Are you looking for a clean and light venue at a reasonable cost in a beautiful setting?

Be a party, a meeting or an exhibition you are planning – Buckland Newton Village Hall could be ideal for you!

Tickets for this performance by the school Drama Club are free but everyone is asked to phone the school office if you would like to attend so they can reserve a seat.

LEAVER’S Service: This service is taking place on Friday, July 20 and will be very special this year.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Church of the Holy Rood at 2pm.

Miss Chant has worked at the school for over 10 years and will certainly be very much missed.
