THE ever-popular tea dances continue at the Willowbed Hall on Friday, October 3.

The fun runs from 2pm until 4pm. The entrance cost is £2, which includes refreshments and a raffle.

This is all in aid of Age Concern - and don't worry, they will make non-dancers very welcome!

  • THE Victory Hall is still suffering petty and mindless vandalism, including goalposts being pulled down.

The police have been informed and if anyone is caught in the act they will be prosecuted.

Also, some inconsiderate owners are still not clearing up after their dogs and some that do then just leave the bags on the ground instead of disposing of them in the bins provided.

I really don't understand why they can't take two seconds to put it in the bin but this does seem to be a problem all over Chickerell.

I noticed three bags of dogs mess swinging from some bushes the other day! So the message has to be to please pick it up and then either take it home to dispose of it or put it in the bin!

  • A NEW-to-you sale is going to be held in the Willowbed Hall on Sunday, October 5.

There will be various items ranging from clothes, shoes, household and lots more.

Refreshments will be available so after all the shopping you can sit and have a quiet coffee.

It opens at 2pm and is in aid of the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.
