CHICKERELL’S Monday club will be meeting on Monday, April 20 at 7.30pm in the Fairfield Community Hall. Mary Wilson will be giving a talk on My Patchwork. New members are always made welcome.
- MELVYN Sharp will be talking about his experiences as a channel swimmer on Tuesday, April 21 at the Chickerell and Charlestown Townswomen’s Guild meeting. This will take place at Marshallsay Court starting at 7.30pm. Any new members welcome.
- IF YOU are on the West Dorset District Council’s housing waiting list then you can now bid to live anywhere you like in West Dorset thanks to a new system. West Dorset will be advertising any properties that are available in public libraries, the Chickerell Town Council office and the internet. They are updated once a week and you have a set time to put in a bid to live in the place you have selected. West Dorset will still be contacting those people that are considered vulnerable and are not able to bid for properties themselves.
