THERE will be a warm welcome for everyone at the Chickerell Songs of Praise 'Faith and Hope' evening on Sunday, August 23.
The evening, which is sponsored by the Christian community in Chickerell, will be taking place at Willowbed Hall at 6pm.
It is recommended that you bring a folding chair with you if possible and, in the event of wet weather, the service will take place in Willowbed Hall.
The Salvation Army band and songsters will be present.
CHICKERELL Town Council and the Chickerell play area community group are committed to building a new play area in Chickerell.
Talks are already being held to discuss where the playground can be sited.
Chickerell Primary School children completed an exercise where they designed their ideal play areas, which has given everybody involved a very clear view of the equipment they would like.

THE Chickerell Methodist Church will be holding a coffee morning on Saturday, August 29, from 10am to midday.
There will be the usual homemade cakes, bric-a-brac stalls and a raffle.
THERE will be a sale of second hand books, many in new condition, on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, at 11 Randall Close, from 11am to 5pm.
Refreshments will be available and it is all in aid of St Mary's Church.
