A PUBLIC meeting about the future of Chickerell library is being held at Willowbed hall on Monday, March 7, at 7pm.
As you will probably be aware the library is under threat of closure because of proposed spending cuts so the meeting has been called to see if there is sufficient local interest to form a Friends of Chickerell Library group who could help to keep the library open but staffed by volunteers.
If you care about our local library and can spare a couple of hours please come along and have your say.
Further information can be obtained by Jeff Mogg, email mogg.jeff@gmail.com or telephone 788845.
THE Spirit of Chickerell community group are holding their Morning Café on Saturday, March 12 in Willowbed Hall.
It runs from 10am until noon and they would like to invite everyone along for a bacon bap, a sausage sandwich or a croissant or pastry.
There will also be a table top sale and anyone who wishes to have a table should contact Paula and Shaun on 775787. This is a good chance to catch up with friends and neighbours whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast.
THEIR Morning Café will also be open on Saturday, April 9.
Bennetts Books will be in attendance selling second-hand books for all.
