A PASTOR from London is set to bring his ministry to Dorchester as part of a nationwide tour of worship.

Samson Jebutu, senior pastor at Moment of Truth Ministries, will lead the latest leg of the 'Revival and Awakening Tour' in September.

Moment of Truth started the tour earlier this year and has so far made stops in London, Manchester and Kent.

Pastor Samson is set to arrive in Dublin, Ireland and Crawley, East Sussex before the end of the year.

The ministry is a non-denominational Christian organisation urging churches to join hands and worship together.

Pastor Samson said: "We go to these communities and encourage people to come together for worship and to study the word of God.

"For those who have not come to know the Lord, come along as well.

"We are going to have some speakers, some time for worship, prayers and fellowship."

Pastor Samson said he had visited Dorchester on a number of occasions and wanted to come to Dorset in order to spread the message as far as possible.

Moment of Truth has chosen a variety of tour stops rather than focusing on obvious, major locations.

He said: "We are trying to reach out to as many places as possible. We are going from north to south.

"People have responded very well. I am quite surprised at the response.

"When we went to Kent, people travelled very far.

"People do appreciate when a day is specifically set aside to worship the Lord and pray."

Moment of Truth Ministries describes the tour on its website as an "outburst of spiritual awakening" for those who attend its events.

It spreads its word through "home groups" established in areas outside of their London base.

These groups meet regularly to pray and worship together, fostering a sense of community.

The 'Revival and Awakening' event in Dorchester will take place at the Munipical Buildings in High East Street on Saturday, September 17, from 11am until 4pm.
