WE are in party mood here; the Cheese and Wine was a great success, both as a village hall money-spinner and a social event, the tables full of cheese and other delicious dishes and the chatter volume very high.
THE girls had decorated The Elm Tree in a wonderfully spooky fashion for Hallowe’en.
A large coven of witches, Dracula and other denizens took a chance to visit but Baron Samedi (he was incredible) won the prize of a meal for two, even the regular quiz joined in the theme and a fun evening was had by all!
THE Village Club had an enjoyable and informative evening with Stuart Morris, when he presented ‘Storms, Wrecks and Floods’.
A selection of pictures, old and new, set to atmospheric music and informed commentary that filled us in on Chesil Beach’s stormy record and the hopeful news that, so far, the sea defences have cut down the flooding.
