THE LAST of the Lent Lunches in St Mary’s Church, Stratton takes place from 1pm on Thursday April 10. Lunch consists of homemade soup, bread and cheese.

FROM Valley History Society meets at Rampisham Village Hall at 2.30 pm on Monday April 14, when the topic will be the history and development of Ham Wall RSPB Nature Reserve.

The following month there will be a visit to Athelhampton House on Monday May 12.

There will be a children’s Easter Egg Hunt, fun games and lots more.

The venue will be the field behind Maiden Newton Youth and Community Centre, or inside if wet.

THERE WILL be a Jumble Sale at Frampton Village Hall on Wednesday April 26 from 2 until 4 pm.

Entry costs 50p and there will be tea and coffee available.

Jumble sale contributions can be dropped off at the village hall between 10 and 12 on the morning of the sale or during the week at 44 Dorchester Road or 20 North Park.

LITTLE Acorns are holding a Sunday Lunch and Easter Egg Hunt in Evershot Village Hall from 12.30 pm on Sunday April 27.

Lunch will include local free range pork, beef or vegetarian options with all the trimmings and a pudding to follow. Please bring your own wine, cutlery and plate.

The cost is £10 for adults and £5 for children (under 3’s free).

There will also be a raffle with great prizes.

Come along at 2 pm if you would like to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt. This will cost £3 for a family (free if you have had the lunch).

You could even enter the Easter Bonnet competition for children and adults, followed by tea and biscuits.
