MELBURY Osmond WI will be holding their Open Gardens on Wednesday, August 29 from 2.30 to 5pm.
       There will be four gardens open to raise funds for Melbury Osmond W I.
        The entry charge is £3 per person. There is parking at the village hall.
        Tea and cakes will be on sale in the gardens, as well as plant, book, cake and bric-a-brac stalls.
        In case of wet weather, teas will be served in the village hall!

<li>THE GARDENS at The Manor in Rampisham will be open on Sunday, September 2.

<li>MEMBERS of the Ivy Club in Maiden Newton are reminded that the outing to Marwell Zoo takes place on Tuesday, September 4.

<li>THERE will be a jumble sale in Maiden Newton Village Hall at 2pm on Saturday, September 8.
       There will be refreshments and a raffle. Any items for sale (nothing electrical or large) may be brought to the hall from 1pm.

<li>THE NEXT date for Stratton Lunch Club is Wednesday, September 12 at Stratton Village Hall.

<li>THE SUNSET Café Stompers will be performing in Cattistock Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 15.
      A New Orleans sound is featured in this authentic 1920’s 7-piece line-up and a repertoire covering a wide range also including numbers from Duke Ellington, King Oliver and Jelly Roll Morton.
       Tickets cost £10 to include light refreshments and are available from Cattistock Stores, the Fox and Hounds, Maiden Newton Stores and No. 64 Newsagents or from Hillary on 01300 321027.
