Off The Cuff, Littlemoor’s creative writing group has three reasons to celebrate this year.

Not only did one member, Marlene Heinrich, win this year’s prestigious Dorset Writer’s Network prize for her Flash Fiction story “I’m not in the mood,” but two others, Laura James and Kathy Sharp saw the publication of their second novels.

Laura James’s first book Truth Or Dare, a romantic tale set in and around Weymouth received critical acclaim and her second, Follow Me Follow You, out in paperback, has five star reviews on Amazon.

Kathy Sharp’s two current books are based on Portland. The first paperback, Isle Of Larus, is a highly amusing story set on an imaginary island that exists in a parallel universe. The sequel, Sea Of Clouds is currently available as an ebook and continues the mad-cap adventures of the islands inhabitants.

Next year, in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our library, Off The Cuff will be publishing their own anthology of the work of all members, including previously unpublished stories by world renowned authors Kit Berry and Isolde Martyn, both of whom are honorary members of Off The Cuff.

If you would like to join Littlemoor’s creative writers all you have to do is take a pen and plenty of paper along to the library on a Monday morning at 10am. You’ll be made to feel very welcome no matter what level of writer you are. All you have to do is enjoy writing and want to share your talent.
