World renowned author, Isolde Martyn who originally hailed from Weymouth returned to Littlemoor library last Monday to inspire and help our own aspiring writers.

An informal chat over coffee and cakes gave the Off The Cuff writing group plenty of time to fire questions at Isolde about the art of writing and how to get into the world of publishing.

The two hours flew by as members of the group discussed their own aspirations and Isolde gave lots of helpful hints and tips on what publishers wanted.

Although she now lives in Australia Isolde has links back to Littlemoor; her mother was once mayor of Weymouth and still lives in Preston and it was she who was instrumental in getting our shopping centre built when she was in office.

The Off The Cuff group wish to thank Isolde for her time and encouragement and wish her well in her already very successful writing career.

The writing group have now only one place left to anyone who would like to join their informal and thoroughly enjoyable meetings at 9.30am every Monday at Littlemoor library. Anyone interested and would like to know more should contact Jess on 813863.
