Those young residents of Littlemoor between 4 and 7 years who are taking part in the Circus Stars summer reading challenge might like to know that there are extra events on Wednesdays.

Between 2.30 and 3.30 the library will be doing Circus Capers; on 3rd August they will be able to make a clown and circus train, on the 10th a circus tent and on the 24th a ringmaster.

So get along to the library and join in the crafts and stories with a circus theme.

The events are free but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

And every Tuesday morning the Library Gets Lively.

Drop in between 11.15 and 12noon for fun activities for under 5’s and their parents or carers.

Sessions will be run by the library and Bincombe Valley Centre staff.

For older members of our community with an interest in local history there’s the South Dorset Ridgeway Heritage Project.

Find out why the ancient landscape of the South Dorset ridgeway is so special and unique.

Project officer Sarah Harbige will reveal what the project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has achieved in the past three years.

Sarah’s talk includes more about archaeological surveys, walks and trails, oral history recording and local history research.

The date for this event is Wednesday 10th August 10.30- 12noon.

Places for this event are limited so book your ticket NOW. Call 01305 812350 or visit www.dorsetforyou.com/libraries.
