Toilets petition handed over to council

On 27th October Terry Butcher attended the Weymouth council meeting to present the petition to keep Littlemoor toilets open. Unfortunately Mark Tewkesbury was unable to join him but Simon Bowkett stepped in at the last minute and both he and Terry put the case to re-open and refurbish the toilets in the shopping precinct.

With the proposed 8,000 space Olympics car park going on the fields opposite the Chinese Take Away there is now an even greater need to make sure our public toilets are re-instated.

The final decision, however will probably not be made until early in the new year.

Fancy letting your hair down and having a good time?

Then you can strut your stuff to DJ Sidewayz disco and party the night away at the community centre this Saturday (12th) from 8pm til midnight.

No prizes for John Travolta look alikes, just turn up and enjoy yourselves!

It’s Bingo Night again at the community centre on Friday 18th doors open 7pm. Eyes down 8pm.

For those who love a good rummage for a bargain or two the ever popular Jumble Sale is back at the community centre on Saturday 19th between 2pm and 4pm.

And if you still haven’t yet had a clear out you can still donate your jumble by ringing 836398 and leaving a message and someone will arrange to come and collect from you.
