The Samaritans garden project has been running for six months and to celebrate they are holding a plant sale and garden party on Sunday 1st July between 12.20 and 4.30.
Afternoon tea will be available from 2pm until 4pm and you can see what they have growing in their poly tunnel, cold frames and greenhouse. Or you can try the plant quiz.
The project was helped in the early stages by the Synergy housing Zone3 neighbourhood panel and is run in support of the local Samaritans and they are based at 39 Littlemoor Road.
I dropped into the library on Tuesday morning to return some books and was met by the wonderful sound of baa baa black sheep being sung by some ten young mothers and their toddlers.
The weekly session of The Library Gets Lively is certainly that and it was so good to see so many young mums joining in with such verve and relish.
What a wonderful way to get your toddler interested in the world of books.
If you’d like to join them then it starts at 10.30 every Tuesday, and it’s all free!
