As always, the school holidays present problems for parents and children alike, the biggest headache being how to keep them occupied.
As usual Dorset libraries are running activities to encourage the youngsters to read more through those long six weeks.
This year it’s The Story Lab, with stories, crafts and games with a book theme.
On 9th August between 2.30 and 3.30pm it’s that very popular book The Gruffalo, on the 16th a story called Ice Cream and on the 23rd one called Pirates.
Activities are suitable for ages 4 to 7 years. No need to book, simply turn up on the day and have fun.
The Story Lab packs are now available at the library.
