Martinstown now has 20 open gardens ready for inspection on Saturday and Sunday, 27th and 28th June from 1 pm

On Saturday on the Green there will be a Vintage Car display, Flower and Plant stalls, Sip a delicious pimms, munch through a bowl of strawberries and have a go on the tombola and raffle whilst listening to the Max Deller Trio. Something for the creative? Clay Sprite
Facemaking and a Swagmaking activity using wild flowers will help to keep the children entertained after they have played hunt the lolly stick and planted a sunflower seed!

Meanwhile in the Village hall on both days come and see the archival display all about historical Martinstown whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a delicious piece of homemade cake provided by the W.I The Village shop will be open for takeaway sandwiches, teas, coffees,
ice creams and soft drinks. During the afternoon take the time to wander into the Church to enjoy the floral display constructed by a group of very skilful ladies. On Sunday , apart from the Dog show, preceded by a “Woofability” display, there will be a second hand toys and book stall and don’t forget to have a little flutter on the Duck race, Generous prizes!

Finally, the Casterbridge choir will be entertaining us in the Church at 7pm. Thus finalising another successful Martinstown Open Gardens. Let’s hope the weather stays fine for us!
