The Osmington Society Summer Walk and Garden Visit

On Sunday 12th July walkers met at Heritage House for a pre walk drink hosted by Sally and Jeff Little. Despite the mist and rain (the first we had had for several weeks) we set off down Chapel Lane, up Roman Road and across the footpath at Pixon Barn towards the White Horse. Walking down the lane to meet Church Lane we encountered some rather tricky puddles to negotiate but no one fell in.

Arriving at Summerlands we met up with other Osmington residents who had not made the walk but were enjoying their delicious cream tea and garden tour. Chris and Liz Bird did us proud, their garden was delightful and over 30 of us enjoyed the cream tea and cakes which were served by some kind helpers.

Another Osmington Society Event enjoyed by all participants. Our next event will be on the 14th November when we shall be hosting a Race Night in the Village Hall, look out for further details.

WOW once again performed at the village hall on Saturday 11th July.

This dyamic group of young people gave a most entertaining performance with songs and dances from many popular musicals. The evening was organised by St Osmund's PCC who provided a light supper and manned the bar and the raffle.
