THE Park Community Centre was alive on last Monday night to the sounds of Line Dancing music, which has returned after an absence of ten years.
Our instructor, Pat Lea started off at a gentle pace and explained everything two or three times and all those who attended really enjoyed themselves. We hope to see lots more people coming along at 7.45pm for a great evening. You can also arrive a bit earlier at 6.30pm and join us in an old fashioned sing a long with Pat. We sang a lot of ‘old’ favourites and told a few stories relating to the songs.
In all a wonderful Monday evening.
THE Community Forum are sad that after twelve years ‘The Babes in the Park’ group, run by the local surgery nurses, has now finished for financial reasons.
It has been a pleasure to see all these young babies growing up and joining the Parent and Toddler group and even some attending the youth club. A wonderful community facility.
ON Thursday, September 30 we are starting a jewellery making class at 9.45am, which will be during the Art class.
It will be just in time to make some precious items for your love ones for Christmas, and it will be good fun as well.
THE next Luncheon Club is on Wednesday, October 6 at The White Hart, near Debenhams.
